A handsome two-volume pair from the classic Oz series, including The Gnome King of Oz (1927) and The Giant Horse of Oz (1928), both written by Ruth Plumly Thompson and illustrated by John R. Neill.

Both volumes have been professionally restored with new bookcloth rebacking, while the original illustrated covers have been carefully retained and adhered to the restored bindings. The original covers remain particularly attractive, giving the pair a striking appearance.

The textblock of The Gnome King of Oz is in particularly good condition. The Giant Horse of Oz shows some normal signs of age here and there, consistent with books of this vintage, but remains an attractive copy. All plates are present in both volumes, with the black-and-white illustrations remaining clean and handsome throughout.
