Annie Leibovitz cover image

Spanning more than four decades of work, Leibovitz’s career ranges from her beginnings as a photojournalist for Rolling Stone in the 1970s to the highly conceptual portraits she later created for Vanity Fair and Vogue. For this volume, she selected both iconic photographs — including the final portrait of John Lennon embracing Yoko Ono — and many images that had rarely or never been seen before.

“What I originally thought would be a straightforward process — imagining which images would look good large, which photographs would work at that scale — became something entirely different,” Leibovitz explained at the time. “The book is very personal and tells its story through the language of pop culture. It isn’t chronological, and it isn’t a retrospective. It’s more like a roller coaster ride.”

With this unlimited edition, admirers of Annie Leibovitz and the many cultural figures she photographed can once again experience that remarkable ride.
